In this role you will develop the member-facing Android app powering Peloton devices and experiences. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver engaging, scalable software that runs on bikes, tread, and row. You’ll mentor engineers and help modernize our engineering solutions. You’ll tackle complex tasks using AI-assisted tools and optimize UI performance for millions of Members. This is an impactful opportunity to shape on-equipment software that supports Peloton’s fitness mission.

Responsibilities

  • Build the primary member-facing Android app embedded on Peloton hardware
  • Mentor and elevate mid-level and junior engineers while optimizing team processes
  • Partner with Product, UX, and Design to translate vision into clean code and manage cross-team dependencies
  • Tackle complex engineering tasks independently, leveraging AI-first coding tools and profiling for UI/memory/threading performance
  • Deliver highly engaging, responsive, and scalable features from concept to deployment

Key requirements

  • 6+ years of software development experience
  • 4+ years of Android development and strong Kotlin/Java knowledge
  • Experience with continuous build integration in an Agile environment and active GitHub/open-source contributions preferred
  • Deep understanding of Android threading and modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI)
  • Experience with REST APIs; familiarity with gRPC and GraphQL is a plus
  • Ability to manage cross-team coordination and turn product/design requirements into high-performance features
