Experteer Overview
In this Sr. Accountant role, you independently prepare, review, and analyze financial transactions with high accuracy, manage complex GL activities, and drive critical month-end close activities. You will partner with cross-functional teams, support FP&A with accounting data, and prepare audit-ready documentation for internal and external auditors. You will uphold GAAP, internal controls, and company policies while contributing to process improvements. This is a hands-on position in a multinational setting with visibility across the business and a focus on accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities
- Assist in month-end closing and meet financial reporting deadlines
- Prepare and review complex journal entries, including accruals and deferrals
- Perform advanced balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Analyze financial statements, identify trends and variances, and summarize insights for management
- Lead assigned components of the month-end close to ensure proper expense cutoff and complete financial results
- Prepare reporting packages to comply with corporate financial reporting and regulations
- Provide guidance to Staff Accountants and ensure adherence to accounting policies
- Ensure SOX compliance through control documentation, narratives, and audit-ready evidence
- Review account activity and prepare variance analyses; participate in process improvements
- Handle ad hoc requests, special projects, and cross-functional accounting activities
- Document and update internal control procedures and accounting systems
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Office & Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables)
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX
- ERP experience with SAP and HFM a plus
- Must be able to work extended hours during close periods
- Must reside within a commutable distance to Brea, CA (onsite 4 days/week)
