Responsibilities
- manage and coordinate administrative operations for the Specialty Care group
- assist in physician/provider recruitment and onboarding with cross-entity collaboration
- schedule management for physicians and providers
- oversee payroll and HR matters for 30+ physicians and 6 nurse practitioners
- financial management of approximately $13M annual budget
- support delivery of outstanding primary care services and measure quality, patient satisfaction, and financial performance
- provide guidance on initiatives related to UCI strategic goals and growth of primary care services
Key requirements
- thorough knowledge of university rules, budget, accounting, fund management, and personnel management
- at least 7 years of advanced management/leadership in an academic healthcare or higher education setting
- minimum 3 years in cost accounting and finance administration
- excellent verbal and written English communication
- strong ability to manage physician resources, clinical space utilization, and financial resources
- expertise in payroll functionality and related financial analysis
- strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with physicians, faculty, and administrative leaders
- proven ability to implement projects and improve clinical quality, billing, coding, patient satisfaction, and cost of care
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
