In this role you apply your hydromechanics expertise to support design reviews, construction, and rehabilitation of hydropower plants. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams on international projects, ensuring technical compliance and effective coordination with stakeholders. You’ll shape tender and proposal documents, assess supplier submissions, and contribute to site inspections and project optimizations. Responsibilities
- Review design studies and manufacturer drawings, calculations, and O&M documents
- Participate in workshop inspections and validate compliance before shipment
- Perform site visits and prepare actionable reports and recommendations
- Coordinate with internal and external project stakeholders
- Draft technical tender documents (specifications, contracts) for construction
- Prepare technical methodologies as consultants or engineering firms
- Evaluate manufacturers’ technical-commercial proposals (quality, cost, deadlines)
- Conduct occasional on-site inspections through project phases
- Organize project meetings and prepare minutes
- Review project schedules, monitor progress, and suggest optimizations
- Manage technical non-conformities and claims
Key requirements
- Engineering degree in Hydromechanics (HES or EPF level)
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in hydromechanical equipment for power plants
- Fluency in English and either French or German (spoken and written)
- Proven autonomy, rigor, and proactive task management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for specialists and non-specialists
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Availability for international travel (1–2 weeks, e.g., Africa, Central Asia)
