In this role you drive strategic sourcing to support Baptist Memorial Health Care’s goals, leveraging purchasing power to secure high-quality contracts at the lowest total cost. You will lead negotiations, manage RF processes, and coordinate cross-functional collaboration to unlock savings and efficiencies. You act as a bridge between internal teams, legal, and vendors to ensure compliant contracting and excellent vendor performance. This is a chance to shape procurement impact in a large healthcare system through data-driven, cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including cost and terms
Lead cross-functional collaboration to identify cost savings and efficiencies
Administer RF processes from preparation to award and implementation
Manage end-to-end contract negotiations, drafting, approvals and signatures
Utilize benchmarking tools (e.g., mdbuyline) to validate pricing and support cost savings
Liaise with internal stakeholders, legal, finance, risk, and vendors for policy compliance
Request and analyze quotes, produce cost breakdown assessments
Manage multiple sourcing projects and vendor relationships
Ensure ongoing performance, quality, and contractual commitments with suppliers

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Five years’ experience negotiating contractual agreements in a related industry
Experience in the sourcing process
Analytical data collection and interpretation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills and mathematical proficiency
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong negotiation, time-management, and organizational skills
