In this role you contribute as a foundational software engineer, delivering robust, scalable solutions while collaborating with technical leads, product managers, and program managers. You will help advance Google's AI strategy, stay ahead of evolving threat landscapes, and integrate security solutions across partner teams. You’ll move fast, write high-quality code, and tackle novel problems that propel security and developer experience at scale. A key focus is shaping secure, reliable platforms as Google expands its Asia-Pacific presence.
Responsibilities
- Partner with technical leads and product/program managers to execute on team goals
- Contribute to AI strategy implementation and security-related initiatives
- Address evolving threat landscape in development and security contexts
- Develop robust software solutions with a focus on quality and speed
- Collaborate with security and engineering stakeholders to integrate security solutions across teams
- Contribute to building and maturing security practices within new locations (e.g., APAC Singapore hub)
- Support cross-functional collaboration to remove technical barriers and accelerate delivery
- Own parts of the codebase and product components within Google’s flagship products
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 1 year of software development experience in Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript
- 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms
