Experteer Overview

As a Software Engineer, you will join the core team backing Viasat's cloud-native software to build, deploy, and operate secure applications globally. You will contribute to the viasat.io platform, crafting network and security services used across the company and advising other teams on cloud approaches. You’ll take features from concept to production, create self-service platforms, and help improve usability, cost efficiency, and security. This role offers impact at scale with open-source tech and a focus on reliability and developer experience.

Responsibilities

Build and ship innovative cloud-native features end-to-end
Design, test, and secure platform APIs and services
Collaborate with engineering customers to gather needs and propose platform changes
Automate and improve reliability of self-service platforms and tooling
Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
Contribute to code ownership and developer experience across the team
Deploy services across regions and manage TLS and security infrastructure
Advise other teams on best practices for cloud technologies
