In this role you will design, develop, and deliver scalable software for the payments domain, partnering with product and design teams to translate requirements into robust solutions. You will contribute to cloud-based and internet-facing tools, shape architecture, and help triage production issues. You will perform full life-cycle software development and push for improvements across code, features, and platforms. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where AI, data, and scalable systems drive business outcomes. You will work with cross-functional teams to turn innovative ideas into practical products that serve millions of buyers and sellers

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement core, scalable software applications including cloud-based tools
Collaborate with software product and design teams to analyze requirements and craft actionable designs
Estimate efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and triage production issues
Perform full life-cycle development for the eBay payments domain
Research, design, develop, and test software aligned with business and technology strategies
Contribute to bug fixes, code enhancements, and new feature development
Apply object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, and SDLC practices
Participate in brainstorming sessions to improve code, services, and system architecture
Work on frontend and backend components and support distributed, scalable systems

Key requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus one year of experience
Experience building AI-based applications using AI/ML, Git, Java, and Spring Boot
Frontend development with JavaScript, React JS, NodeJS, Redux, and D3.js
Backend systems design with MySQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases
Distributed systems design for enterprise-level scaling
Experience with AI tools such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
Python development experience
HTML & CSS proficiency
