In this role, you will help ensure the reliable internal release of iOS and macOS by building a stable testing and release environment. You will contribute to cross-disciplinary collaboration across engineering and quality teams to advance OS integration and release quality. You’ll tackle defects in the OS submission pipeline, drive test automation, and improve end-to-end build and test processes. This is an opportunity to influence highly visible, industry-leading OS releases used by billions of users. You will work in a fast, iterative environment focused on innovation and reliability.

Responsibilities

Investigate defects in the OS submission pipeline and identify culprits
Triage issues and route them to the correct team using various debug methods
Develop and improve the submission process as it relates to test/triage/debug
Develop tools and tests to aid in triaging test failures and contribute to the test infrastructure
Build software to implement efficiencies and automate testing and debugging
Create a platform that enables Engineering and Quality teams to deliver better products through end-to-end process orchestration
Collaborate with software and quality engineers, and guide process improvement initiatives
Work with engineering and extended test teams to improve regression test coverage in continuous builds

Key requirements

Knowledge of deep learning technologies is a plus
Understanding of core OS components
Ability to root cause failures with the engineering team on short cadence
Strong interpersonal skills to relay critical information between stakeholders
Documentation and procedure writing for software maintenance and usability
Unix operating system test development experience (macOS or iOS development a huge plus)
Comfortable writing code and experience with TDD
Experience with building and iterating CI/build pipelines to shorten feedback cycles
Excellent communication and coordination with engineering and QA teams
