As a Software Consulting Engineer, you will lead architecture, design, and development of scalable T&D software platforms and configuration tools. You will drive digital transformation for grid automation and device orchestration, collaborating with embedded, power systems, and UI/UX teams to deliver secure, future-ready solutions. You will shape platform direction, enable AI-assisted engineering, and ensure cloud-readiness and interoperability across multi-vendor environments. This role combines technical authority with customer engagement to deliver reliable grid software.

Responsibilities

Define architecture and evolution of scalable, modular platforms for T&D configuration systems
Oversee cloud-native design using .NET, Java, Python, TypeScript for desktop/edge/cloud deployments
Drive IEC 61850 engineering workflow integration into automated tooling
Align firmware, UI/UX, and power systems for coherent system design
Collaborate on secure, compliant solutions with SDLC and DevSecOps practices
Promote reuse of software components across product lines
Oversee lifecycle of configuration tools for protection and control devices and their SCADA/DMS/EMS integration
Conduct architecture reviews and ensure compliance with IEC 61850, CIM, IEC 61968/70, IEC 62351
Partner with architects and customers to deliver reliable, flexible grid solutions
Monitor AI/ML and cloud-native trends for roadmaps and IP development
Mentor engineers and represent the organization in customer engagements and industry events

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Extensive software engineering experience including leadership or architecture role

Exceptional leadership and communication Ability to influence across technical and business teams Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset [].NET, Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript UI frameworks and backend systems Containerized/cloud deployments
