As a Site Reliability Engineer at Lely, you will shape and implement our SRE/DevOps strategy, focusing on GitOps, CI/CD, and Azure cloud practices. You’ll collaborate with global product teams to boost reliability, scalability, and observability of our automation solutions for dairy farming. You’ll drive continuous improvement, automate toil, and coach colleagues to adopt modern DevOps principles. This role blends software engineering with infrastructure mastery in a fast-growing, innovation-driven company.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the SRE/DevOps strategy
Apply modern SRE, GitOps, and CI/CD principles and methodologies
Identify and implement process, tool, and system improvements to boost efficiency and software quality
Monitor, analyze root causes, and provide feedback loops and coaching
Deliver high-quality, reliable, scalable, observable solutions in collaboration with stakeholders
Automate toil and leverage managed services to optimize infrastructure and product operations

Key requirements

3+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps
Extensive SRE and software development experience with DevOps practices
Proficiency in programming languages: .Net, Python, Bash, C#, React, GoLang
Azure cloud platform experience and tooling (Terraform/OpenTofu, ArgoCD, GitLab)
Experience with observability tooling (Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
Ability to debug, optimize, and automate operational tasks
Strong understanding of security best practices in infrastructure/software development
Ability to evangelize, coach, and influence others
Willingness to perform on-call duties in a rotation
Excellent English proficiency (Dutch a plus)
