In this role, you lead regional growth for HDR’s Site Investigation and Remediation practice, shaping strategy with cross-functional leaders to expand market share and revenue. You’ll nurture client relationships, sponsor major pursuits, and strengthen HDR’s footprint in the East region. You’ll provide technical leadership on projects and guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, high-quality outcomes. This is a high-impact position that combines strategic growth with hands-on technical and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute regional growth strategies to increase market share and revenue
Identify high-value opportunities and competitive positioning for long-term growth
Collaborate with Area and Regional leadership to align with business development targets
Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients to expand HDR’s footprint
Lead or support major pursuits including pre-positioning, win strategies, proposals, interviews, and negotiations
Represent HDR at industry conferences and regulatory forums to raise brand visibility
Provide direct billable technical leadership on site investigation and remediation projects
Serve as project manager or senior technical advisor on complex projects
Support recruitment and development of regional staff
Foster collaboration, innovation, and client-focused delivery across the regional team

Key requirements

Experience in environmental site investigation, feasibility studies, remedial design, and remedial construction management (minimum 10 years)
Bachelor’s degree in related field; PE or PG license or ability to obtain reciprocity
Strong verbal and written communication skills for clients, regulators, and teams
Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and manage multiple priorities
Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Proven track record in business development and strategic planning
Established relationships with environmental regulatory agencies and industry organizations (e.g., SAME, AEHS)
