In this role you will lead a new Ryder Distribution Center in Opa Locka, driving launch and operational setup. You will shape team culture, teach and develop staff, and implement processes that support scalable, efficient warehousing and transportation solutions. Responsibilities

Interface with the customer to resolve issues quickly while maintaining high satisfaction
Strategic planning and execution for the operation
Identify and solve operational issues via continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives
Hire, supervise, develop, and manage performance of employees
Maintain open communications within the work groups and cross-functionally
Possibly manage profit & loss depending on scope
Lead an proactive safety program and enforce location safety plans and training
Monitor equipment maintenance using checklists and inspections
Perform other duties as assigned

Key requirements

Five (5) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field
Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports
Customer interaction experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or related field preferred
Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred
Proficiency in analyzing data and applying improvements
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
H.S. diploma/GED required
