Lead and mentor the NA tax team to ensure compliant U.S. and Canadian income tax, tax accounting, and audits. Work with the Head of Tax-North America and global teams to gather information and address tax matters impacting the business. Drive tax research, monitor evolving laws, and advise on corporate transactions. This role offers exposure to cross-border tax issues, process improvements, and a culture focused on progress and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Oversee preparation of Consolidated U.S. Income Tax Return (Form 1120) and related schedules; handle BEAT/163(j) calculations (Forms 8990, 8991)
Oversee State Income Tax Returns
Assist with U.S. Federal, State, and Canadian quarterly income tax provisions and annual return-to-provision
Manage Canadian income tax compliance in a co-sourcing arrangement
Coordinate with Global Tax, Accounting, Treasury,Payroll, Legal, and Shared Services for information
Conduct tax research on contemplated and actual corporate transactions
Monitor tax legislation and its impact on the company
Train and mentor staff

Key requirements

Minimum 10 years of public accounting and/or industry experience
Strong understanding of ASC 740 (Income Taxes)
CPA is a plus
Thorough knowledge of U.S. Federal and State corporate income tax rules
Familiarity with Canadian income taxes and R&D Credit a plus
Strong computer skills; One Source Income Tax Compliance Software preferred; Oracle Tax Reporting familiarity a plus
Bachelor's degree; master's in taxation a plus
Ability to work collaboratively and independently under tight deadlines
