As a Senior Software Engineer I, you lead medium-to-large projects that enable dental data computation, analysis, and validation. You sit in a cross-functional team, shaping architecture with Architects and DevOps to meet performance and reliability goals. You will mentor engineers, refine epics, and drive software that supports safe, innovative patient care. This role blends technical depth with business impact in a hybrid Zurich office setting. You’ll contribute to scalable, secure systems and present strategy to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical training sessions
Own and improve team-wide engineering practices including code reviews and testing standards
Collaborate with Architects and DevOps to optimize system performance
Drive technical implementations to realize business needs
Lead epic implementations with multiple features and ensure clear feature breakdown
Contribute to epic refinement for well-defined stories
Ensure system performance, security, and reliability of major components
Present technical strategies to teams and stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally to align on technical decisions
Drive team-wide improvements and mentor junior engineers
Guide team members in implementing best practices and maintaining code quality

Key requirements

4-6 years of software engineering experience
Experience leading epics with multiple features across team members
Experience mentoring engineers and driving improvements
Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience supporting architectural decisions is advantageous
Experience in medical technology domain is a plus
Experience with CAD systems and geometric algebra is advantageous
Experience with cybersecurity requirements is a plus
