Responsibilities

Lead supplier engineering for extrusion and catheter scope across acquisitions, from technical due diligence to post-close integration
Conduct on-site supplier process assessments (extrusion, materials, tooling, secondary operations, final catheter assembly)
Identify design, process, capacity, quality, and regulatory risks and define mitigation plans
Partner with R&D/Design Assurance to assess manufacturability and recommend changes
Coordinate supplier/material qualification, remediation, capacity stabilization, and regulatory evaluations for acquisitions
Serve as technical escalation point for supplier issues during integration, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions
Inform supplier strategy decisions with Global Sourcing (continuation, transition, dual sourcing, or exit)
Communicate risks and recovery plans to site leadership and acquisition stakeholders
Support value capture through cost, quality, and scalability improvements from integrated technologies
Maintain focus on patient safety, quality, and compliance throughout acquisitions

Key requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
Minimum 5+ years in complex extrusion-based or catheter systems in regulated manufacturing
Experience working with external suppliers in a technical leadership capacity
Ability to travel 10–15% globally for supplier assessments
