As a Staff Platform Engineer at Saviynt, you own reliability for key platform domains and shape scalable, multi-cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain shared infrastructure services and platforms used by product teams
Architect and run scalable Kubernetes platforms as a service for internal consumers
Develop internal tooling and automation for infrastructure provisioning with Go
Design reusable cloud foundation patterns and multi-cloud abstractions (AWS, Azure, etc.)
Create and integrate event-driven components and messaging (Kafka, etc.) as shared services
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, ArgoCD) as a service
Build resilient distributed systems building blocks for other applications
Operate multi-region cloud infrastructure to ensure global availability and performance
Enhance centralized observability and monitoring platforms for self-service insights
Define RESTful API designs for infrastructure services and manage service mesh capabilities (Envoy/Istio)
Design and optimize shared relational database services (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
Collaborate with product teams, provide technical guidance, and participate in on-call rotations

Key requirements

6+ years in Infrastructure Development, Platform Engineering, or SRE
Deep Kubernetes production experience, platform-focused (multi-tenant and single-tenant)
Proficient in Go and Python for backend services and automation
Hands-on with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RMQ, NATS)
Strong CI/CD experience, especially GitLab CI, with automated delivery for teams
Design and operation experience with distributed systems and reliability patterns
Familiarity with multi-region cloud strategies and global availability
Proficiency in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
RESTful API design, well-documented APIs
Service mesh knowledge (Istio) in a platform context
Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Strong communication and customer-centric mindset
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering
