Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to developing complex React-based applications
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver user-centric experiences
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Break down requirements into well-scoped tasks and provide estimates
- Make technical decisions balancing project needs, capacity, and best practices
- Drive code quality, modularity, and responsive design
- Ensure accessibility, performance, and cross-browser compatibility
- Mentor team members on React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and workflows
- Define technical design requirements and development standards
- Identify and resolve technical issues and manage risks
- Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning, and client presentations
- Participate in engineering hiring and learning opportunities
Key requirements
- 8+ years front-end development experience
- 5+ years focused on React
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, HTML, CSS
- Proficient in modern React patterns (hooks, context, component design)
- Experience with Zustand, Redux or similar state management
- Understanding of UI frameworks and server-side concepts (Next.js, TanStack Start, Astro)
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library)
- Experience integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL) and async data
- Understanding of WCAG accessibility, responsive design, performance optimization
- Strong Git and modern workflows (CI/CD, code review)
- Experience with agile delivery and JIRA
