Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain web applications using Java, React, and TypeScript
- Develop APIs using RESTful and gRPC best practices for performance and scalability
- Own features beyond initial release, including monitoring, debugging, and production improvements
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver customer-aligned features
- Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code using modern frameworks
- Debug and troubleshoot across the full stack, including production support and root cause analysis
- Contribute to system architecture to improve scalability and maintainability
- Utilize SQL and relational databases to manage application state
- Recommend approaches for new code, refactoring, and third-party/open-source integration
- Participate in code reviews and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems
Key requirements
- 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong Java back-end experience with Spring Boot familiarity
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and React or similar front-end frameworks
- Solid understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and SQL
- Knowledge of data structures, client/server architecture, and scaling trade-offs
- Experience with Git, IDEs, and build/deploy tools (Gradle, Docker, CI/CD)
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
- Experience supporting production systems with debugging and performance optimization
- Ability to break down complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment and mentor peers
