Experteer Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer at MAK Technologies, you help build VR-Engage, our flagship immersive simulation platform. You work with a collaborative team to design and implement features for large-scale real-time rendering, distributed simulation, and user-facing interfaces. You’ll support customers and occasionally visit sites to diagnose issues and tailor extensions. This role combines hands-on coding with cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality, impactful training solutions.

Tasks
- Collaborate with principal engineers to design and implement new features
- Independently design and implement smaller features
- Partner with QA to diagnose and fix complex bugs
- Support engineers worldwide by helping plugins and extensions meet requirements
- Occasionally visit customers to diagnose system-level issues and develop extensions
- Provide input to team leaders and product managers to improve the product
Key requirements
- Strong object-oriented C++ experience
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of computer networking
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and eligible to obtain a Secret clearance
