Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain C++ software for 5G modem components and protocol stacks (NAS, SDAP, RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC, PHY)
Develop and maintain HALs and stable APIs for modem and device integration
Optimize performance for real-time embedded targets, including profiling and memory/CPU tuning
Integrate and test modem software with SDKs, hardware platforms and lab bring-up
Collaborate with RF, firmware, and QA teams to define interfaces and ensure end-to-end functionality
Ensure compliance with 3GPP and GSMA standards and translate specs into tasks
Participate in design/code reviews and promote maintainable, testable code
Troubleshoot complex issues across software and hardware boundaries using logs and diagnostics
Mentor junior engineers and influence product and architecture decisions
Support feature delivery for device and network-side components (RAN, gNodeB) as required

Key requirements

Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of professional software engineering experience in C++
Direct experience with 5G modem software and protocol stacks
Strong understanding of 5G/LTE and 3GPP specifications; familiarity with GSMA guidelines
Experience with modem-related layers: NAS, SDAP, RRC, PDCP, RLC, MAC, PHY
Experience with embedded systems, real-time constraints, and device bring-up (nice to have)
Experience with RAN components or network element integration (nice to have)
Experience building HALs, software abstractions, and stable APIs
Familiarity with SDKs, modem stacks, drivers and debugging tools; multitasking and performance tuning
Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills; mentoring experience
