In this role, you will advance translational biomarker strategies to guide indication selection and patient stratification. You will work with cross-functional teams to integrate translational research into clinical plans and support IND-enabling activities. You will design and validate biomarker assays and leverage clinical data to inform discovery and translation of next-generation therapeutics. This position offers meaningful impact by shaping translational decisions across programs in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate cross-functionally to design, implement and execute translational research and clinically relevant assays and plans
Support preclinical identification of model systems and assess their clinical relevance
Develop, validate, and implement molecular and cellular assays for translational research and clinical trials
Independently identify relevant models, design and execute experiments
Interpret translational data, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality data to support key decisions
Identify and develop novel assays/platforms to drive translational innovation
Oversee outsourcing of assays to CROs
Develop study plans and write documents for IND preparation
Maintain laboratory instruments, reagents, consumables, and routine tasks

Key requirements

PhD in Biological Sciences with 5+ years in industry drug discovery
Proven experience advancing translational efforts into clinical trials
Experience developing, validating, and executing biomarker assays for preclinical, translational, and clinical samples
Expertise in cellular models, animal studies, and human tissues
Image analysis skills (high-content imaging, histology) preferred
Experience coordinating with CROs and academic labs
Strong documentation skills with electronic lab notebooks and standard software
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a matrixed, fast-paced biotech environment
Ability to clearly communicate data and strategy to internal and external partners
