In this role, you will support fund management for the Department of Medicine's research programs, ensuring financial activities align with policy from inception to closure. You will prepare grant proposals and liaise with university entities to submit contracts and grants. You’ll manage complex PI portfolios, mentor junior staff, and help maintain compliant, timely financial reporting. Responsibilities
- Provide essential fund management support for research divisions
- Prepare grant proposals and coordinate with university entities for submissions
- Oversee post-award fund activities from inception to closure in line with policies
- Manage large, complex PI portfolios and mentor junior staff
- Assist in training and developing junior research administrators
Key requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of research administration experience
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks under competing deadlines and interruptions
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel
- Strong writing skills for diverse audiences and adherence to sponsor guidelines
- Knowledge of grant funding processes and techniques
- Ability to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting
