In this role you will design and maintain scalable Python-based backend services powering Nexpart, a global B2B automotive parts marketplace. You will collaborate with product and engineering partners to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions and to advance AI-enabled features. You’ll build and integrate APIs and microservices, improve observability and system resiliency, and contribute to technical standards. This position offers the chance to shape platform capabilities at scale and leverage AI/LLM to boost productivity and product quality.

Responsibilities

Design and implement Python-based applications and services that power core workflows
Develop scalable APIs and microservices for internal/external use
Own backend architecture for reliability, scalability, and maintainability
Enhance performance with distributed patterns (caching, queues, event-driven design)
Implement observability and troubleshoot production issues
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality releases
Create/document system and technical guidance
Leverage AI tools to improve productivity and delivery speed
Build/productionalize LLM-enabled features and AI-driven workflows
Design orchestration for multi-step AI tasks
Implement RAG-style retrieval patterns and evaluation frameworks
Ensure responsible AI practices and governance

Key requirements

5+ years of professional Python development in production
Strong experience with asynchronous, API-driven microservices (FastAPI, asyncio)
Solid understanding of scalable backend architectures and service integrations
Experience with distributed systems patterns (queues, caching, pub/sub, background processing)
Strong understanding of REST APIs, authN/authZ, and secure design
Experience with CI/CD and containerized deployments
Proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows
Excellent English communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
