This role sits at the core of risk management, shaping how P&C risk is overseen across the group and driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Act as independent risk adviser to P&C insurance functions, supporting governance and assurance activities
Lead top-down analysis of insurance risks, including deep dives and reporting
Provide actionable risk insights to senior management
Develop and maintain risk governance documents and policies for insurance risks
Deliver risk reporting (QRR and BRIC)
Shape the P&C Risk Deep Dive Plan to identify and assess material risks
Mentor and support development of team members
Engage with regulators, auditors, Group CRO, and Boards on P&C risk topics
Contribute to group-wide risk projects and training initiatives
Collaborate with regional/local risk officers and other risk teams

Key requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree
10+ years of relevant insurance experience in P&C
Strong knowledge of insurance risk management and regulatory requirements
Advanced problem-solving, decision-making, and ownership of delivery in complex settings
Excellent verbal and written communication to non-technical stakeholders
Advisory, influencing, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Expertise in risk management principles, especially for P&C
Advanced data literacy, analytics, and visualization skills
Fluent in English (oral and written)
