In this role, you lead and coordinate New Product Development projects within a manufacturing setting, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. You work across engineering, operations, and customers to manage schedules, risks, and quality. You act as the primary technical contact for design teams and external clients, driving clear communication and robust project governance. This position offers influence over development processes and cross-functional collaboration that shapes product outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Create, manage, and complete NPD project schedules (Gantt)
Plan resources and milestones; forecast and track budgets with senior leadership
Coordinate ECR/ECN processes and related activities
Manage risk matrices and mitigation plans across multiple concurrent projects
Serve as principal design engineering contact in cross-functional meetings
Communicate with internal and external customers on technical order changes, test quality, and contract requirements
Support department metrics updates and development of project engineering practices
Provide technical guidance for proposals and, if needed, perform limited design engineering work
Lead NPD projects as a technical leader coordinating with senior engineering leadership
Perform other duties as assigned

Key requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication with management on progress and issues
Self-starter, organized and thorough; able to work under pressure while prioritizing quality
Proficient in project engineering with cross-functional collaboration; PMBOK techniques a plus
Strong understanding of manufacturing concepts and procedures; leadership in cross-functional teams
Technical writing for procedures and results; accuracy-focused
Ability to work in an ambiguous environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, Access)
Experience with Integrated Project Teams a plus
Valve design familiarity; manufacturing experience required
