In this role you will lead and advocate for programs delivering Communications, Navigation, Connectivity, and In-Flight Entertainment systems for commercial aircraft. You’ll drive on-time delivery, manage budgets, and coordinate across engineering, certification, and analysis in a matrix environment. Your work will shape program outcomes by managing risks, change requests, and customer expectations. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met and profitability is protected, contributing to Astronics CSC’s leadership in IFEC solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage assigned projects as the primary point of contact for customers
  • Define and communicate deliverables, deadlines, and data requests to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate technical data flow with project team members and manage cross-functional dependencies
  • Track milestones, action items, and deliverables across engineering, certification, and analysis
  • Oversee document generation, review, and approval processes for project outputs
  • Assist with resource planning based on deliverables and scope
  • Create/manage design requirements and communicate design changes to the team and customers
  • Facilitate inter-department handoffs and milestone-triggered data transfers
  • Manage commercial aspects including proposals, program change requests, purchase orders
  • Serve as a problem-solver for customer-facing issues and set expectations early in engagements
  • Provide market feedback to stakeholders on technology trends
  • Maintain and communicate design requirement changes and impacts
  • Keep project dates updated and identify opportunities for process improvements

Key requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, or related technical/equivalent field, or 10+ years of industry experience
  • Expertise in Microsoft Project
  • Proven program management experience on complex, multi-deliverable projects
  • Experience in a design, analysis or certification engineering role
