In this role, you craft compelling, platform-tailored stories that engage fans across screens. You’ll blend editing, producing, and storytelling to serve long-form and short-form content, from YouTube series to social clips. You work with cross‑functional teams to translate hockey culture into fresh, fan-first content. Your work supports NHL Digital’s narrative voice and editorial standards while driving audience growth.

Responsibilities

Edit digital-first content across long-form, short-form, and vertical formats
Manage projects from concept through delivery (editing, producing, writing, shooting, post-production)
Ideate and produce athlete-driven, lifestyle, and behind-the-scenes storytelling
Edit and deliver promos, trailers, weekly programming, sponsored content, and core NHL Digital features
Edit and produce on-site content at major NHL events (Winter Classic, All-Star, Stadium Series)
Create and edit static/motion graphics for features
Use data and platform insights to shape NHL's YouTube strategy
Demonstrate strong hockey knowledge in storytelling
Maintain digital fluency and optimization across platforms
Work in a fast-paced, reactive environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
Create content aligned with the league's core creative standards

Key requirements

5-7+ years of experience editing and producing multimedia content
Reel/sample work required (link provided)
Experience contributing to YouTube strategy for a sports brand or media organization
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere and Photoshop
Strong understanding of video formats, compression, and media management
Experience working on deadline-driven digital and social content

Excellent organizational and project-management skills Strong communication and feedback execution Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and travel Adobe Premiere Pro Adobe Photoshop After Effects (strongly preferred)
