Senior Specialist / Project Manager
Experteer Overview
In this role you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of complex Defined Benefit calculations in a multi-client setting. You will coach junior processors, monitor work queues to meet SLA targets, and keep User Procedure Documentation updated. You’ll work closely with internal Client Service teams to ensure plan rule interpretation aligns with the plan documents, while maintaining confidentiality of participant data. This hybrid role combines hands-on processing with mentoring and process improvement in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Process a variety of high-complexity calculations for multiple clients
- Coach and mentor junior processors on unit-specific tasks
- Monitor work queues to ensure aging items are cleared within SLA
- Validate and update User Procedure Documentation (UPD)
- Manually calculate and review pension benefits for plan participants
- Explain calculations to participants and resolve related issues
- Support monthly testing of system upgrades/releases
- Participate in special departmental projects and back-up coverage for others
Key requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
- Defined Benefit knowledge or related transaction processing experience
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to coach and instruct others
- High integrity and discretion with confidential data
- Strong PC software skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
