In this role you define and drive the global production footprint and strategic direction within Operations Transportation. You manage a dedicated team and work with global leaders to align on a unified strategy. You lead cross-functional initiatives to improve processes, governance, and production layouts while anticipating future needs. This position offers impact at scale through shaping global operations and collaborating with senior stakeholders. You will play a key part in delivering operational excellence and strategic growth.

Responsibilities

Define strategic projects with the Operations Transportation leadership team
Implement harmonized processes for strategy execution across the group
Organize and enhance the group-wide strategy execution process
Drive continuous improvement of processes and systems in collaboration with relevant teams
Develop and disseminate best practices to strengthen strategic thinking
Maintain high governance standards in global operations
Initiate and manage global strategic activities within Global Operations Transportation
Coordinate global production footprint analyses and optimize production setup
Collaborate with Business Units to define efficient global operations for worldwide customer needs
Analyze production targets and footprints for new products and market growth
Promote cross-functional knowledge sharing to optimize production layouts and guiding principles
Assess the commercial impact of production footprint and layout decisions

Key requirements

At least 5 years of experience in procurement and/or category management in an international corporate environment
Solid project management expertise to design, structure and execute complex cross-functional projects
Experience leading demanding cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives with milestone tracking and transparent progress communication
Experience managing global and strategic projects and cross-functional activities
Strong leadership with coaching and mentoring capabilities to develop teams and ensure people management
Excellent command of English and good proficiency in German (written and spoken)
