In this Senior Manager, Accounting position, you build and scale ShopMy’s financial infrastructure to support rapid growth. You’ll own the close, controls, and reporting, partnering across teams to ensure accurate data and timely processes. You’ll contribute to scalable systems and clear accounting memos, shaping financial processes for a creator-driven marketplace.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day accounting operations including month-end close and reconciliations
Prepare variance explanations and financial reporting
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely financial data
Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance and financial processes
Research technical accounting matters and draft clear memos for audits and reporting
Identify opportunities to improve and scale accounting systems and workflows
Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements as needed

Key requirements

5-8 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong foundation in audit
CPA license
Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting; ability to research and write technical memos
Familiarity with modern accounting tools and a track record of process improvement
Industry-relevant experience in technology, e-commerce, or high-growth startups preferred
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Strong communicator capable of translating financial concepts for non-finance stakeholders
