As an Inventory Planner at RH, you drive optimal stock and profitability by forecasting demand and building cohesive department plans. You’ll collaborate with Merchandising to align product strategies with financial targets, balancing top-down goals with bottom-up realities. You’ll manage receipts, open-to-buy processes, and vendor flow to maximize in-stock levels and revenue. This role combines analytics, cross-functional partnership, and hands-on planning to support RH’s luxury, multi-channel business and brand leadership.

Responsibilities

Pre-Season Inventory Planning: analyze historical data and trends by department, collection and sku; create department level plans aligned to division strategies; develop collection/sku level sales plans with inventory investments; reconcile top-down and bottom-up financial plans; prioritize workload for successful inventory initiatives; collaborate with Merchandising to support product vision
In-Season Inventory Planning: perform demand forecasting at department, subclass, collection and sku levels; forecast sales/inventory and devise strategies to maximize opportunities and mitigate risk; calculate receipt needs and present buying strategies to senior leadership; complete open-to-buy activities and present action plans during monthly OTB meetings; manage on-order pipeline and negotiate flow with vendors; focus on top volume SKUs to optimize in-stock levels and revenue

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree
5 years equivalent relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of Excel; aptitude to learn new systems
Strong analytical skills for interpreting trends from data
Solid grasp of retail math and inventory planning concepts
Ability to build cross-functional relationships
Strong problem solving and time management skills
Multi-Channel planning experience is a plus
