As Senior In-house Cloud Architect AWS, you own the cloud roadmap for our enterprise, shaping scalable, cloud-native platforms that connect locations, data, and applications. You’ll design reference architectures and operate an integrated cloud ecosystem, including SAP-AWS, while partnering with IT, business, and external providers. You drive innovation with AWS, edge computing, and DevOps, and help elevate cyber security maturity and ITIL processes. This role blends technical leadership with cross-team influence in a global context.

Responsibilities

Own the cloud roadmap from planning to implementation to deliver sustainable business value
Design and establish cloud reference architecture, standard operating environments, and blueprints
Develop, operate and integrate a modern enterprise cloud platform across locations and technologies
Assume strategic/operational responsibility for the SAP-AWS landscape with service providers
Drive innovation with AWS, edge computing, CI/CD, DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures
Serve as central interface between business, IT operations, and external partners, providing technical guidance and escalation support
Collaborate with IT teams to advance the data platform and align it with cloud strategy
Manage budgets (CapEx/OpEx), evaluate new technologies, ensure supplier quality, and advance cyber security maturity and ITIL-based service processes

Key requirements

Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or comparable field with several years in cloud and data center environments (industrial context preferred)
Proven expertise in designing/ implementing complex cloud architectures, especially cloud-edge-traditional integration
Broad knowledge of AWS, containers, CI/CD, DevOps, API management, integration and networking; programming/scripting (Python, Java, C#, PowerShell) as a bonus
Strong methodical approach to modern project methods (Scrum, PMI, Prince2) and relevant certifications such as AWS or TOGAF
Entrepreneurial thinking, high personal responsibility, prioritization and time management for driving projects
Strong international communication skills, excellent English, willingness to travel occasionally
