Senior Specialist / Project Manager

Experteer Overview

In this role you will help grow and lead Stantec’s Florida hydrogeology practice, supporting major water-related projects across the state. You will mentor staff, supervise field and design work, and drive proposals and client relationships. The position combines technical leadership with project management to deliver groundwater solutions for public-sector and private clients. You will shape Florida’s groundwater strategy while collaborating with a cross‑functional water team. This is a leadership role with visibility and impact in a growing statewide practice.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and support client proposal negotiations and technical writing
  • Design, permit, and oversee construction of water supply, deep injection, and ASR wells
  • Provide QA/QC and technical oversight of field/design work
  • Serve as Project Manager to plan, execute, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget
  • Lead or support business development and client pursuits, including winning proposals and presentations
  • Develop scopes of work and budgets; prepare subconsultant agreements

Key requirements

  • 15+ years of hydrogeology or water resources experience
  • Florida PG or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Experience with water supply wells, monitoring wells, DIW, UIC, or ASR
  • Florida regulatory/permitting experience
  • Project management and client-facing experience
