Barcelona, Spain Circa 90k - will consider higher, based on level and relevance of experienceJob ID: 351420 The SoC Architecture team is responsible for defining high-performance and power efficient System-on-Chip hardware architecture.The team identifies Hardware Requirements, defines the overall SoC system and delivers High-level Architecture Specification (HAS) integrating multiple processing units, memory, interconnects, accelerators, interfaces and peripherals to achieve optimal Power, Performance, Area and Cost (PPAC) efficiency. The team is also responsible for overall aspects
Responsibilities
- Architect and define the end-to-end SoC including processing units, accelerators, memory, interconnects and analog components
- Ensure hardware architecture meets product goals in collaboration with product architects
- Develop and integrate hardware security features across architecture, software, and firmware
- Model security threats and define a trusted computing base with RoT; implement secure boot and data protection
- Conduct system-level PPAC optimisation and technology/trend evaluation
- Lead architecture reviews, provide technical guidance, and align across micro-architects
- Coordinate with design implementation, verification, physical design, and software teams for convergence
- Define scalable system-level methodologies and IPs for efficient SoC development
- Support SoC execution across milestones and manage cross-functional dependencies
- Identify and select hard/soft IPs and manage security-related interfaces and protocols
Key requirements
- 10+ years in IP/SoC architecture and design for ASIC or FPGA
- Experience with architecture trade-offs for PPAC in advanced technologies
- Strong knowledge of security themes and hardware security concepts
- RISC-V based systems experience
- Proficiency in performance modelling, simulation frameworks and scripting
- Knowledge of interfaces and interconnects (AMBA, AXI, CHI) and packaging concepts
- Experience with cryptographic IPs and libraries (SHA, AES, RSA, ECDSA, EdDSA, HMAC, AEAD)
- Familiarity with secure boot, attestation, data protection and RoT concepts
- Cross-functional collaboration and leadership capabilities
- Understanding of OTA, JTAG security and remote/local attestation
