As the National Electrical Engineering Expert, you guide strategic and routine maintenance and capex projects to ensure compliance with harmonized standards. You define long-term electrical design and technology strategies across responsible sites and shape mid- to long-term plans. You collaborate with internal departments and authorities, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement in processes and workflows. This role offers impact across major projects and international collaborations within a sustainability-focused organization.

Responsibilities

Act as national electrical engineering expert for maintenance, turnarounds, and capital projects
Prepare tender books, technical specs, and documentation for maintenance and projects
Define and implement long-term electrical design and technology strategies
Provide input to strategic planning including frameworks for materials and services
Develop and ensure adherence to operational processes and engineering guidelines
Manage budgets (OPEX/CAPEX) for electrical activities and support budgeting
Assess and decide on non-standard project tasks; advise on national projects
Stakeholder management with internal departments and external authorities; prepare for technical negotiations
Track KPIs, support benchmarking, and drive departmental improvement
Manage and develop contractor and contract management frameworks; oversee selection and performance

Key requirements

Master's degree or Diploma in Electrical or Automation Engineering
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, process automation, instrumentation, or related projects
Strong knowledge of American and European design standards (E&A norms and standards)
Extensive experience in electrical planning, project management, and project execution
Solid know-how in plant design, engineering workflows, contractor management, and technical project management
Fluency in English; German and Romanian considered advantages
