You own end-to-end delivery, aligning with Product and Design, and ensure timely, high-quality shipping across product, integrations, and platform. You’ll drive hiring and team development, establish a culture of ownership, and coordinate with stakeholders including CS and Product during incidents. Responsibilities

Hire, onboard, and develop engineers; build a scalable team
Own the delivery system: scoping, milestones, timelines, stakeholder updates
Ensure on-time, quality shipping across core product, integrations, and platform
Partner with staff engineers and tech leads on architecture and technical decisions
Collaborate with Product and Design to triage, prioritise, and sequence work
Escalation point for customer-impacting issues; coordinate with CS and Product to resolve
Own on-call posture, incident response, and post-mortems; drive reliability improvements
Lead engineering hiring processes: headcount planning, JDs, interview loops, closures

Key requirements

10+ years in software engineering including time as IC and Engineering Manager
5+ years as an IC shipping high-complexity systems
5+ years managing teams shipping high-quality, complex systems
Experience growing and scaling engineering orgs from small teams to 20–30+ engineers
Startup experience; ability to coach, give direct feedback, and grow people
Experience building enterprise software for fintech ecosystems and B2B products
Experience with data-intensive architectures and data orchestration across integrations
Experience with AI prompting, models, and tools
Proficiency with tech stack: Golang, Postgres, AWS, Messaging, Protobuf, gRPC, Redis, GitHub Actions, Containers, Terraform; Frontend: React, Node, Fastify, MUI, React Query, Vite, Storybook, Playwright
Experience founding or building from scratch at a company or project
