As a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Lead, you steer the planning, design, and execution of electrical systems across industrial, infrastructure, utility, and facility projects. You act as Lead Electrical Engineer and Engineer of Record on design efforts with fees up to $500k, safeguarding technical quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction. You mentor a small design team, coordinate with diverse stakeholders, and drive project delivery while growing the electrical practice. This role offers ownership of delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and impact on resilient, sustainable infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer and Engineer of Record on projects
Lead and mentor a team of 1-3 electrical engineers and designers
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality
Provide regular project status updates to leadership
Coordinate with clients, utilities, contractors, vendors, and regulators
Develop technical reports, construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications
Conduct site visits and construction-phase services
Coordinate electrical designs with other disciplines
Support proposal development and maintain strong client relationships
Collaborate with geographically dispersed team members using virtual tools
Promote quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across deliverables

Key requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
8+ years of electrical consulting or related engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Willingness to obtain additional state PE licenses
Experience leading projects and managing technical teams
Strong client-facing consulting, communication, and leadership skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and PDF markup/editing software
Experience with AGi32, SKM Power Tools, or equivalent software preferred
