Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize digital and analog circuits with a focus on ultra-low power consumption to extend battery life
  • Create schematics incorporating microprocessors, FPGA, RF, power, sensors, and interfaces (USB, MIPI, SPI, I2C)
  • Utilize layout tools (Cadence preferred) for high-speed routing, impedance matching, and power distribution
  • Write test procedures, interface control documents, and development documentation
  • Support full product lifecycle: architecture, bring-up, HW/SW integration, factory support, testing and customer support
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, RF, software, FPGA, mechanical) across projects
  • Work in a small multi-disciplinary team, engaging with customers to define requirements and report progress
  • Onsite work required at Schaumburg location
  • Possess self-motivation and strong problem-solving with minimal supervision

Key requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in designing low-power digital and analog circuits
  • Experience with microprocessors, memory, power supplies, batteries, charging, peripherals, and hw interfaces (USB, MIPI, SPI, I2C)
  • Strong schematic capture and layout skills; Cadence knowledge a plus
  • Embedded software experience (C/C++) and ability to bring up new embedded systems
  • Proven ability to support product development lifecycle and debug hardware issues
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; customer-facing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of lab equipment (signal analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, JTAG debuggers) and soldering
