Responsibilities

Lead the PMO to elevate project management craft across RD
Challenge the organization to adopt more project-centric processes and governance
Direct management oversight of the PMO groups (China, Submission PM, Japan PM) to ensure consistent support
Provide and train project managers in tools, templates, and learning functions for consistent planning, risk, budget, and resourcing management
Foster cross-functional collaboration and alignment with portfolio management
Support development and execution of end-to-end project governance and prioritization

Key requirements

12+ years in R&D project management or operations
Expert knowledge of PM best practices, tools, and templates
Experience in cross-functional R&D teams
Deep understanding of drug research, development, and manufacturing processes
Proven ability to work independently and in teams to meet timelines
Experience with cross-cultural, international teams preferred
Excellent English communication (written, verbal, presentations) and ability to tailor messaging
Strong strategic thinking and portfolio management systems experience
