In this Senior Consultant role, you help execute complex securitization transactions within the Audit & Assurance practice. You will perform asset-level reviews, develop loan- and pool-level analyses, and model capital structures to support CMBS and related securitization work. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and present findings to clients, shaping disclosures in offering documents. This position offers impact through advanced analytics, market-facing projects, and opportunities to grow your expertise within a global firm.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed loan file reviews and maintain data on commercial mortgage pools and properties
- Execute collateral analysis and stratification; generate loan and pool-level analytical reports
- Model and analyze capital structures and cash flows for CMBS transactions using Deloitte’s platforms
- Calculate projected future payments and key analytics under various economic scenarios
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and deliverables
- Communicate with clients to discuss data issues, reconcile exceptions, and ensure disclosures in securitization offering documents
Key requirements
- 2-3 years of professional experience in financial services with exposure to CMBS or related fields
- 1+ years of experience in financial cash flow modeling using Excel/VBA
- Exposure to programming languages (e.g., VBA) and/or platforms such as Bloomberg, Intex, or TREPP
- Experience at a Big 4 firm or in related fields (mortgage/asset-backed securitization, real estate finance, loan servicing, investment banking, etc.)
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior professionals
- Progress towards or completion of professional certifications (CFA, CPA, FRM)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field (MS/MBA helpful but not required)
- Willingness to commute daily within a commutable distance; ability to travel up to 50%
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
