Experteer Overview
In this role you drive financial planning for clinical trials, coordinating coverage analyses and budgets across industry-sponsored and non-industry studies. You’ll partner with sponsors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure compliant, cost-efficient budgets and accurate financial data in OnCore. You support investigators and study staff in budget development, start-up quality, and issue resolution. This position strengthens the financial infrastructure for both corporate and non-industry submissions while guiding junior staff.

- Salary range: $96,886 - $155,000
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and finalize coverage analyses and budgets with relevant groups and obtain approval
- Negotiate budgets with sponsors to optimize cost efficiency
- Enter and review financial data in OnCore and manage sign-off processes
- Provide day-to-day support to PIs, study teams and budget staff to resolve budget development issues
- Ensure incremental costs of clinical research are covered per policy and compliance guidelines
- Mentor and train new/junior staff (budget/coverage analysts) and supervise as needed
- Conduct quality reviews and audits of coverage analyses, budgets, and related financial data
- Review protocol amendments and update budgets or re-prioritize with third-party vendors
- Analyze new protocols to determine budgeting needs and prioritization in coordination with leadership
- Interact with sponsors to resolve budget changes, target accrual shifts, or funding disputes
- Prepare non-detailed budget estimates and coordinate with external vendors when necessary
- Regularly review study files for administrative quality and consistency across trials
- Maintain timely data metrics and ensure contract and Revenue Integrity teams have finalized documentation
Key requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Six years of oncology clinical research budget development and negotiation or coverage analysis experience
- Experience in research administration, CRO, pharma/biotech, academic medical center, or clinical practice
- Experience with HCPCS / CPT codes
- Experience with Medicare regulations, guidelines, policies
