As Senior Backend Engineer in Swiss Re's IT Resilience unit, you design, build, and run core Golang services that power the global enterprise IT landscape. You will advance SACM and CMDB capabilities, enabling trusted federated data across on‑premises and multi‑cloud environments. You lead backend work, support AI‑driven PoCs, and collaborate with a product team to ensure stability, resilience, and long‑term maintainability. Responsibilities

Design and develop robust backend services using Golang
Architect and maintain our Federated API connecting configuration and asset information across on‑premise and multi‑cloud environments
Optimize CMDB databases and integrate with corporate processes
Build and manage RESTful APIs, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines with automated testing
Implement Docker containerization and Kubernetes deployments
Monitor and analyze application performance with Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
Transform and integrate data using ETL practices and complex SQL operations
Explore and implement AI technologies, including generative models and intelligent agents
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly
Document and share knowledge to support team growth

Key requirements

3+ years' experience programming with Golang
8+ years' experience with modern programming languages
Strong ownership mindset and accountability
Strong knowledge of SQL, database modeling, and optimization
Hands-on experience with Azure or equivalent cloud platforms
Proficiency in Angular 2+ and Node.js frontend development
Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, and Docker
Excellent written and verbal English communication
