Senior Specialist / Project Manager
Experteer Overview
As an Accountant at iHeartMedia, you’ll own financial data to drive insights that influence business decisions. You’ll work closely with the Accounting Team and Finance partners to transform data into actionable information and manage end-to-end accounting for designated lines of business. You’ll oversee complex reconciliations, explain variances, and identify improvement opportunities that affect P&L and balance sheets. This is a position with ownership, impact, and collaboration across cross-functional teams in a fast-growing audio company.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Accounting Team and Finance to convert financial data into actionable insights
- Own full P&L responsibility for the supported lines of business, including standard and non-standard transactions, variance analysis, and risk/opportunity identification
- Manage complex balance sheet reconciliations, prepare executive summaries, and drive open-item resolution
- Link transactions to their impact on P&L and balance sheet, ensuring accuracy
- Identify opportunities and propose solutions to supervisors
- Support internal and external audits, compiling documentation and ensuring an adequate audit trail
- Assist in preparing footnote disclosures and supporting schedules for Corporate Accounting
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional teams
- Develop expertise in iHM’s accounting systems to process and mine financial data
- Build subject matter expertise on assigned areas
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5+ years of relevant accrual-based accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Experience with financial systems (COGNOS, NetSuite, PeopleSoft)
- Strong communication skills across organizational levels
