In this role you will operate and evolve Goodwin’s information security infrastructure, defending data and systems on a global scale. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to implement secure configurations, detect threats, and steer incident response and risk management. You’ll help shape security policies, governance, and automation, contributing to a culture of secure-by-default. Responsibilities
- Identify new threats and create detection/remediation rules
- Expand security auditing and ensure ongoing operations of security tools
- Provide internal information security consulting for IT and business projects
- Assist with secure configurations and architectures; document security standards
- Create and maintain IT security policies and guidelines
- Track security metrics monthly to ensure service levels
- Support incident response lifecycle and communications
- Oversee vulnerability management: identification, remediation, monitoring
- Review access controls; revoke improper access and report violations
- Assist with security process automation and tool integration
- Provide security leadership for incident response, including malware analysis
- Create internal training materials to advance information security
- Stay aware of industry trends and advise on technology improvements
- Cross-train IT staff in security best practices; manage small projects
- Demonstrate professionalism and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide information security knowledge transfer to IT staff
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as Information Security Analyst
- CISSP or equivalent preferred
- Expert knowledge of IT security frameworks and solutions
- Active participation in IT Security Forums (within/outside the legal industry)
- Excellent technical communication and customer service orientation
- Hands-on knowledge of security configurations for multiple products
- SIEM: Splunk, Sentinel
- Firewalls: Cisco, Palo Alto Networks
- IDS/IPS: Cisco, Palo Alto Networks
- NAC: Cisco, Aruba
- Vulnerability Management: Tenable, Rapid7
- Programming: Python, PowerShell, Node.js
- Security Automation: LogicApps, Power Automate, Splunk
- Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS
- OS knowledge: Windows, Mac, Linux
- Browser security: Edge, Chrome
- Ability to learn new technologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- ITIL Service Management knowledge
- Travel willingness (about 1 week per quarter)
