In this Systems Engineer II role you will help design, develop, and operate ground station architectures to enable reliable satellite tracking and communications. You will work with cross-functional teams to support both new installations and maintenance of existing stations, including on-site operations abroad. The role blends hardware, software, and systems engineering to ensure operability and performance of remote tracking facilities. You’ll contribute to design reviews, documentation, and interface with international customers, shaping the company’s ground systems capability.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and operate ground stations (new and existing)
  • Support on-site station operations, including OCONUS deployments
  • Prepare and present design reviews with analyses and calculations
  • Draft electrical/mechanical schematics using CAD tools and document procedures/reports
  • Lead and participate in integration and test activities and sell-off processes
  • Solve multi-layer system problems and communicate findings clearly
  • Collaborate with international customers and senior leadership
  • Assist with proposal activities and business development

Key requirements

  • Electrical/electronics hardware and system design experience in RF telemetry systems
  • Design review preparation with documented analyses/calculations
  • CAD drafting experience (Visio, AutoCAD, OrCAD)
  • Experience in integration and test procedures and reports
  • Proven problem solving across complex systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead teams
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; US Citizenship required
  • 1-3 years in RF systems/hardware design, antenna design, baseband handling, digital processing, control and monitor processing, or network/satellite communications
