As an ABB Sales Representative for drive components, you drive growth in defined markets by growing orders, revenue, and market share. You will identify and develop new opportunities while maintaining strong customer relationships. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute strategies, using Salesforce and other tools to track progress. This role offers exposure to strategic markets and the chance to contribute to ABB’s drive technology portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Sell drive components and systems in the assigned territory (East Tyrol/Tyrol, Carinthia, Salzburg)
  • Identify and evaluate new opportunities with existing and prospective customers
  • Acquire new customers and support market expansion per corporate strategy
  • Increase sales volume and margin within the drive technology portfolio
  • Analyze customer needs and monitor competitors to tailor sales approaches
  • Develop annual sales plans and proposals, manage tenders and contracts
  • Negotiate offers and manage contract execution and tracking
  • Collaborate with service, order processing, product management and marketing
  • Document activities and planning in the CRM tool Salesforce and other internal systems
  • Support fairs and events with professionalism aligned to ABB values

Key requirements

  • HTL or higher-level education with a commercial background (electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology)
  • At least 3 years of sales experience in electric drive technology (motors, frequency converters, digital services)
  • Proven ability to build sustainable customer relationships and willingness to travel
  • Very good German and English proficiency (written and spoken)
  • Driver’s license B and strong MS Office skills
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM
  • Cooperative, solution-oriented, strong presentation and communication skills
  • Cost-conscious thinking, self-management, and team orientation
