As an RF System Validation Engineer at Apple, you will validate and optimise the receiver within the cellular RF sub-system across state-of-the-art mobile products. You will work at the intersection of RF engineering and software, designing measurement strategies and building scalable automation frameworks. You’ll apply data-driven methods and machine learning to characterise complex cellular systems and drive improvements from validation through product launch. You will collaborate with global teams to tackle cross-functional challenges and deliver robust, high-performance wireless solutions. Responsibilities

Define test scope and develop test cases to characterise RF systems
Own regression tests across development and productisation phases
Develop automation frameworks and data analysis pipelines
Apply machine learning to extract insights from validation data
Troubleshoot functional and performance issues through root cause analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the world
Characterise and debug RF cellular systems and components

Key requirements

Extensive experience in RF receiver validation and optimisation
Strong RF fundamentals and measurement techniques
Experience applying ML to engineering problems (anomaly detection, predictive modelling, regression)
Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn)
Experience with large-scale data analysis and statistics
CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI) for automated tests
Post-processing and visualisation skills (Tableau)
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Strong Python programming skills and automation architecture
Cross-functional collaboration experience
