In diesem role you will lead an externally funded interdisciplinary research program at BVHS focused on AI-infused connected/autonomous systems for medicine and public health. You will collaborate with data science teams and other faculties to advance ML/AI theory and practical applications in remote monitoring, autonomous diagnostics, and health facilities. You will help shape a cross-institutional research agenda and establish impactful biomedical data science initiatives. This position offers a path to significantly advance translational research through collaboration and funded projects.

Responsibilities

Lead development of data science/AI/ML theory and applications for connected autonomous medical systems
Build and sustain an externally funded interdisciplinary research program
Collaborate with School of Data Science, Batten College of Engineering, HRBRC, Joint Institute on Advanced Computing, and BVHS data scientists
Engage in cross-disciplinary translational research in medicine and public health
Mentor students and junior researchers; disseminate findings through high-impact publications

Key requirements

Ph.D. or equivalent in data science, computer science, ML, engineering, physics, mathematics, clinical health, biomedical health, or biological sciences or a closely related field
At least one year of publication in peer-reviewed journals
