Experteer Overview
In this contract role, you will perform scientific experiments supporting BCoE studies and BioMarin’s product portfolio. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement bioprocess workflows at lab scale and ensure data quality and GLP-compliant documentation. You’ll handle mammalian cell culture, bioreactor monitoring, and routine data review, contributing to both development and troubleshooting activities. The position offers exposure to upstream, and potential downstream concepts, within a safety- and compliance-focused environment. This is an opportunity to apply hands-on biotech skills in a multinational setting in Cork.
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory experiments following approved procedures and SOPs
- Mammalian cell culture expansion and bioreactor monitoring with sampling and analysis
- Maintain accurate, reproducible data entries and GLP-compliant documentation
- Contribute to project execution and data sharing with peers and leads
- Support calibration/maintenance of lab equipment and updating related docs
- Assist in evaluation of new equipment and lab instructions/BPDs/SOPs
- Ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance (GxP, HSE)
- Potentially work outside normal hours as needed
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (minimum)
- Minimum 1 year of pharma industry or equivalent lab experience
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for pharmaceuticals and cGMP for biologics
